Build a Major Map (BAMM) training and education resources

The resources below serve as both useful training documents for those new to Build a Major Map and educational refreshers for users more familiar with BAMM.

Please note, you must be ASU staff or faculty and signed into your ASU Google/Gmail account in order to access these training documents.

  • Undergraduate Curriculum Review Guide (Google doc): A step-by-step major map sign off checklist. Quick reference for reviewing and submitting maps during the annual catalog review cycle.
  • BAMM Quick Tips (Google doc): A how-to guide on frequently asked questions.
  • BAMM Training Manual (Google doc): This is your go-to, in-depth manual for training on how to use BAMM. Major maps, minors and certificates are all built in BAMM. While this is especially helpful to new BAMM users, it also has tips and reminders that are beneficial for all BAMM users at any level of expertise.
  • Career and Major Integration Guide: A guide to help users navigate integrating career notes into degree programs in BAMM.

Training on-demand

Training is available as you need it for specific questions and assistance with BAMM, to review major map best practices, and to learn more about the updates to BAMM including minors, certificates and BAS; as well as for questions or training on Degree Search catalog content review process. These trainings could be beneficial both for new users and for existing users who could use a refresher.

Training can be conducted in-person, over the phone or via Zoom sessions, whichever works best for you.

Catalog review information can also be found on the Catalog Review Resources pages.
